Work Description: 
This color slide depicts an installation view of the exhibition “Paintings by Clyfford Still” at the Albright Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York. PH-143 (1955, cropped) extends from the left edge of the frame, while PH-136 (1947) hangs to the immediate right. The artist poses before PH-812 (1951, cropped). On view November 5 through December 13, 1959, the retrospective featured seventy-two artworks curated by Still himself. In 1964, the artist made a landmark gift of 31 paintings to the museum.
