This black and white photograph depicts an installation view of the exhibition “Clyfford Still” at the Betty Parsons Gallery in New York. PHX-21 (1949, left) and PH-239 (1949, right) are on display in the gallery. On view January 29 through February 17, 1951, the exhibition was Still’s third and final solo showing at the gallery before renouncing his affiliation with Parsons in September 1951.
