Work Description:
This color photograph depicts Clyfford Still's bedroom at his home at 312 Church Street in New Windsor, Maryland. Several reproductions of artworks lean atop the desk in the background, including Raphael's "The Small Cowper Madonna" (ca. 1505) and Vermeer's "The Geographer" (1668-69). A Lincoln hood ornament, books, and other objects also appear on the desk. PP-15 (1956) hangs on the wall on the far left, while a landscape print occupies the space above the artist's bed. A radio, a lamp, and a glass of water rest upon the nightstand. A low shelf emerges from the lower right corner of the frame.
