Photographed and developed by Sandra Still, this black and white contact sheet features twenty-seven portraits of Clyfford Still at work in his studio in Westminster, Maryland. In each photograph, Still wears a short-sleeved navy blue shirt with khaki slacks, and sports a beard. In thirteen images, Still stands on a ladder to apply paint to PH-892 (1973); three additional images serve as details of these scenes. In nine images, the artist prepares his painting materials on the surface of a cluttered table. In the remaining two images, Still poses before a dark backdrop.
