Work Description:
A white field covers the majority of the left half and right half of the painting. The two halves are split by a strip of bare canvas running from top to bottom, and there is a thin blue painted line running through this column of bare canvas from the top edge down to about three-fourths of the way towards the bottom edge. A small area of bare canvas sits at the top left corner, and a larger area of bare canvas rests over the bottom left corner. A tiny red dash of paint floats in the midst of this larger bare canvas passage. In the bottom right quadrant of the painting, a fluttery orange and crimson field rises into view. It is completely surrounded by a thin border of bare canvas. To its right, a small yellow passage hovers near the bottom edge and runs off the right lower edge. It, too, is surrounded by a border of bare canvas. This painting's orientation is somewhat ambiguous, and it was exhibited in both directions in Still's lifetime with his approval.
