Work Description:
|
A giant crimson red field floats in the center of this work, filling the majority of the composition. Two brighter cherry red fields are painted within the larger red form, adding depth and interest. Bare canvas surrounds this form, but a black form hovers ominously along the bottom edge while narrow white forms rise along the left and right edges of the painting. There seems to be a larger white form floating above the red off the edge of the canvas, for several smaller white finger-like protrusions enter the composition along the top edge. One of these fields has a yellow accent at its center. A long yellow lifeline splits the bare canvas to the right of the red form, and runs from the top edge down about three-fourths of the way to the bottom edge.
