Work Description:
|
A graphic, crimson band of color fills the left vertical third of this medium square-shaped composition. The rightmost two-thirds of the canvas are covered with a flat black pigment. A large vertical white bolt shoots up through the black field from the bottom edge, right of center, and a much smaller–though parallel–white bolt edges into view from the bottom edge, separating the red from the and black. A third white form appears at the top left corner of the painting.
