Work Description:
A deep ominous black fills the lower and right areas of this composition. A multi-faceted form enters from the upper left and sweeps down and to the right into the black void. At the left edge, this form is comprised of deep purple, a lighter violet, and red. This area is surrounded by a dark, navy blue. A fiery cobalt form surrounded by a thin perimeter of unpainted canvas floats amidst this form just below and left of center, between the purple and blue. The dark pigment that fills the majority of painting is contrasted by a tall, narrow, bright yellow field that runs along the right edge from top to bottom. A shot of orange-red shoots in the yellow near the bottom. A small area of unpainted canvas is present at top right.
