Work Description:
|
This medium-sized composition is primarily filled with a fluttery gray field rising from the bottom left edge into the unpainted canvas areas that fill the rest of the canvas. Matte, white pigment is introduced into several small areas of the exposed canvas around the gray field, flattening the picture plane and confusing the work's spatial depth. A small yellow passage resides along the lower left edge to the left of a small round black form, which sits near the bottom left corner and has a blue splash across its center. Several tiny flashes of brown and red are sprinkled across the gray field.
