Work Description:
|
Fluttery white strokes fill the majority of this canvas and intermingle with areas of bare canvas. The layered white paint and bare canvas create a visual effect that confuses spatial dimension by simultaneously flattening and deepening the three dimensionality of the picture plane. Four wispy black forms seem to rise from the bottom edge through the white shapes. The largest and most central of the black forms is also filled with streaks of crimson red. A small blue form floats at top left, a tiny yellow form sits just right of center, and a larger brown form hovers over the lower right edge.
