Work Description:
|
A female figure is shown in profile sitting and holding her pregnant belly. Her left eye is unnaturally enlarged and glowing with pinkish tones. She is set against an earthly brown setting, which encroaches upon her figure and simultaneously pushes the background forward and the figure backward in the picture plane. A glowing yellow disc is silhouetted against her belly, suggesting either a rising or setting sun.
