Work Description:
|
Reminiscent of the work of Spanish artist, Joan Miro, this painting is stylized, simplistic and somewhat surrealist-inspired. Over a flat white field, a black scythe-shaped form rises from the bottom center of the canvas, curves off to the right before jutting back towards center and tapering off to a point at the top center. A tiny yellow circle hovers above this form's apex. Behind this dominant shape, a thin wavering green line rises from the right bottom edge of the canvas, runs parallel to the black form, veers off to the left behind the black form's curving elbow, and then ends with a tiny blue dot located directly below the black form's yellow dot. The only other component in this painting is a medium-sized red disk, which floats in the center of the bottom left quadrant.
