Work Description:
In this minimal early abstract painting, Still has centered a vertical white organic form in the composition and painted a red lifeline down its middle. Behind this central motif, a black, claw-like form is seen reaching up along the work's right edge originating from its bottom edge. This black form has a thin, orange line surrounding its perimeter and several blue strokes painted in its center. A single black line snakes down into the composition from the top edge left of the central white form, and has a small orange disc painted near its apex. The entire scene is painted directly onto a richly-colored brown cloth.
