Work Description:
|
A glowing, translucent orange fills this large vertical canvas, revealing Still's process and varied palette knife strokes. A jagged, bright red form enters from the left edge, just below center and zig-zags horizontally over to just right of center where it shoots upwards and off the top edge of the canvas. A thin, shadowy black form resides along the bottom edge from center over to the bottom right corner. Outlined with strokes of maroon and white and accented with several tiny shots of blue, the black form grounds the composition creating a foundation for the flashes of activity and color above.
